Welcome to Make it Civil,
a blog by Daniel Knoblovits.
After thinking and evaluating the possibility of opening this blogĀ and especially after a lovely chat with my daughter Mailen I’ve decided to launch this project.
The goal is to have a chat area, contacts and professional contributions that could help to our daily work. A place to share and find new knowledge, methods to solve some problems, new workflows, tricks, and mainly have fun and enjoy the use of our programs.
Here are some words about me
I was born in the beautiful city of Montevideo in Uruguay, 500 meter from the beach. I finished primary and secondary school. I moved to live in Buenos Aires where I studied Mathematics Geography and GIS.
After working in several infrastructure companies and projects I moved to Israel and I have spent the last 10 years to deepen the Autodesk programs for Infrastructure Planning and Mapping.
I worked at technology and developmentĀ consulting, training, and support for several companies and government departments.
I currently work at the Omnitech Company (Representatives and resellers of Autodesk in Israel) as Technology & Business Development Manager for Infrastructure & GIS Solution.
I teach and train at different universities like the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the Technion (Israel Institute of Technology), the Tel Aviv University and other academic institutions.
I love and have special skills in Autodesk Software for Infrastructure Design and GIS like Civil 3D, Map 3D, InfraWorks, NavisWorks, and so on; I love challenges.
But I love also music (I play guitar and sing), and loyal to my origins I enjoy a good asado.
With the certainty that we shall find here a productive and fruitful meeting place, let me send you a warm greeting.
